The City of Poughkeepsie, also known as the “Queen City on the Hudson”, was chartered in 1854. The City of Poughkeepsie Police Benevolent Association was incorporated on August 7, 1957. There are more than ninety active members of the PBA, consisting of police officers, detectives, sergeants, and lieutenants. These members serve a population of more than 30,000 residents within the City.
